FAQ

What is the difference between oral vitamins and intravenous vitamins?

Oral vitamins travel through the digestive system which can result in negative side effects such as nausea and constipation, and only allows for 20-30% absorption. Vitamins and minerals administered intravenously guarantee 100% absorption into the bloodstream, and a much higher dose of vitamins can be tolerated. The results are therefore more effective and longer lasting.

Are there side effects?

There are no negative side effects at all on most of the drips. However, if you asthmatic, it is advisable that you use your pump before you drip. There is no down time, come in, drip and go and feel good.

IS Vitamin B shots as effective as IV Drips?

Vitamin B injections contain Vitamin B12 Neurobion only, but a much lower dose than IV drips. The Vitamins enter the muscle first, therefore you only get about a 60% absorption, and they are sore! You need a course of four to six Vit B shots to be effective.

How Long does it take to administer ?

There are 2 choices, either the 15 minutes option or the 45 minutes to an hour option. The ingredients and the costs are the same, but the 45 minutes option uses 1 litre of saline which also caters for rehydration. Also, the bigger your veins the quicker your drip will be.

Who administers the drip ?

A registered nurse will drip you and all scripts are signed by our consulting medical doctor.

What vitamins do you administer?

We administer different types and amounts of vitamins depending on the drip selected. We have Vitamin B12, Vitamin B Complex (all the other Vitamin B’s), Vitamin C, Magnesium, Thiamine and Glutathione. We also have essential elements made up of Zinc, Copper, Magnesium and Selenium. All vitamins and mineral compounds are administered in saline which is made up of sodium chloride and is safe and excellent for rehydration and replenishing electrolytes.

When will I feel the effects?

Some drips such as Hangover drip, you will feel the effects immediately and on other drips some people feel the effects immediately, especially a sense of calm that comes over you. Others will feel it as the day goes on, and others when they wake up the next day. And the effects last approximately four to six weeks, depending on your lifestyle.

Is IV Vitamin Therapy safe?

IV vitamin therapy is safe if you drip at a reputable place that administers medically approved vitamins. All medical details must be provided beforehand and the drip needs to be administered by a registered nurse. Everyone can (and should) drip, except people with severe kidney dysfunction and pregnant women. Even though it’s safe, the dosage may be too much for an unborn baby.

How often can I drip?

It’s safe enough to drip weekly, but you don’t need to. Most people drip once a month but at the beginning there are certain drips you may need to take every 2 to 3 weeks. This helps to keep your energy and immune system at the right level levels.

Can I combine the drips?

All of our drips can be combined and the a very popular combination is the Energy Boost and Immune boost drips as they work together beautifully to keep your energy and immune levels up .Other popular ones Sports Vitality and Immune Booster, Skin Radiance and Detox lastly the Energy Booster and Detox drips.
